So today was my turn to pick where to volunteer....So, I picked the Greenville Humane Society.  The whole thing was to help train adult dogs to eventually help them with being adopted.  There is a 39% more likelihood that an adopted dog with remain with its adopted family if they have been trained and follow simple commands.  So, I figured, how hard could it be to train an adult dog?!
Well, it was mostly a day of dog walking and me falling in love.  This precious one below me was named Bella.  She was in a kennel with who I am assuming was her other sister since they looked exactly alike.  Caroline absolutely loved Bella and whimpered when Bella left her side.  It was the cutest thing ever.  So, we went on a walk, worked on sitting and not pulling, and just enjoyed each others company.

At about noon, people started coming in to adopt.  I was with another dog when I saw Caroline come out.  All I could think about was her and Bella being separated.  The more I thought about it, I became more and more depressed.  She was not the same dog without Bella...So naturally, the tears started flowing.  I tried to focus on the other dog, but it didn't work.  Eventually, ButterCup (Jill's dog) was my distraction.  I'm not sure what ending up happening with Bella and Caroline.  ButterCup was another story.  He wouldn't go inside for the life of him.  So, after about 15 minutes of him just standing there, they picked him up and carried him in.  Poor...Thing...
Today was a great day overall though, even with wanting to adopt a few dogs and then noticing the puppies!  Thankfully, Jill and I made it out without adopting a dog.  It was a great experience though and I'm glad I did it :)

Pinterest Addict

So, I am beginning to think I am a Pinterest Addict.  Actually, its a reality.  So, last weekend when I had a 3 day weekend, I decided to paint my doorknobs!  I am not a fan of shiny gold at all...So, they had to go!  It was so simple...I went to the store, bought spray paint, sprayed the knobs, and then put them back on.  Only, it didn't go that smoothly.  I locked myself in the bathroom twice, locked myself out of the pantry 4 times, and then when I put them back on, I didn't label them!  So, I had to play matchmaker matchmaker when it came down to the last 2 and they didn't match up.  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!
